Burgers to go with the drinks...

I would like to dedicate today to the burgers that go with the cokes. I have several favorites, but since I can no longer get a Burger Chef "Big Chef" or an A & W "Teen Burger" I have to go with something a little more current. As far as chains go I stil like Jack's. Only now are Jack's coming into Georgia, They have been a staple in Alabama since 1960. UMMMM. boy do I like a "Big Jack" with cheese. (http://www.eatatjacks.com/) I also like BackYard Burgers, (http://www.backyardburgers.com/) but I believe they are having some financial difficulties and all of the one's I used to go to have all closed. There is one place I really would like to try if I can ever make it to Arizona, and that is http://www.heartattackgrill.com/ The Heart Attack Grill. The pictures make their burger's look immense. When I was growing up we had a place called Sno-White burgers and they were really good but very small a lot like Krystals but round. I think they were round. Henry's was pretty good too, it was a little local joint in Huntsville Alabama. This is making me hungry.

Cokes, Colas & Coca Cola

Here in the South everything is a coke...( except for Pepsi ) Orange coke, grape coke etc... I lived in New York for a while and had to get used to "Pop"... I could deal with having to order a "soda" when I lived in Ohio but my wife never could palate the use of "Pop"..."There sill be no ordering pop!"...I liked it in the bottles because then you could take the bottle back and get money. My friends and I used to take our little red wagons around and collect bottles. There was one little store in opur neighborhood that we always took them to. The store owner was always glad to see us coming.. we would usually spend all of our money right away on candy and more Coke but is was still fun. My other fave's beside Coca-Cola are Double Cola, and R.C. ( Royal Crown Cola ) I especially liked the Double Cola but I can't get it here in SouthEast Georgia. I have to wait until I am in Tennessee or Alabama to get some. You should try some...mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. refreshing.

and just for giggles... http://www.moonpie.com/

Enjoy :)

Tires...Big investment

Tires...you don't think much about them unless you need to get new ones or you have some old ones laying around. I thought about them the other day not just because I need new ones and they are expensive but I passed some really big ones on the highway. That's a lot of rubber. I once interviewed with a company that recycles them in Mississippi. It was very interesting. Here are a few links for those of you interested in what you can do with old tires...

I could probably Google more but this will do for now. Keep em rollin...
