A Gee in Coin

Well, in an effort to keep showing coinage until I cannot any longer represent the proper number of places by coin...here we have $1000.00 in coin...surprised? Yeah, I tried to see if there ever was an American coin in a thousand denomination, but to no avail. There might be some bullion coin out there I haven't found yet, but until then here is a box of coins to represent a "Grand"

Cee-coin

I found it ...although the odds are you will probably never actually touch one...here is the U.S. $100.00 coin in Platinum bullion. Thus I have given you the fifth place. I think I would like to have a couple of these.

Tenspot

Here is a tenspot... representing the fourth zero (place)... $10.00...sofar I have been able to represent by coinage... but I am not sure how much longer before I have to resort to paper... we will see... this one says 10 dollars but it is probably worth a bit more now...(since it is gold)

The Buck starts here $ 0.00

Today is the third in the series of zero's. In some ways though it is probably the first, since it is actually the first dollar towards our grand deficit of what is around 9.3 Trillion. I might just have to go and look up the definition to know exactly how much that is. It might as well be a bazillion if there ever was such. Soto represent our fabulous first dollar ... I give you the newest dollar in the works...it also represents the time before our first American dollars came about. We were probably still using shillings and crowns...or the like. or maybe just beads.

Two zeros, droppin a dime...

Well today we acknowledge the second zero's place in what does it take to make 903Trillion...I am sorry that should be 9.3 Trillion which I guess would be 933Trillion plus you know the rest...333333etc...repeating. So I give the humble dime to represent the tens place on the right side of the decimal point. Nine more of those and we can advance to tomorrow...where we will see the first place on the LEFT.

How many days will it take?

How many days will it take before I reach a trillion's worth of zero's or better yet 900Trillion's worth? Today I start with one zero ( or the first zero's place ) I represent this by a penny...thus the place .01 . I guess I will have to figure out how many zero's I will have to end up with. So let's get this experiment going...here is the first spot ... a penny.

Ants, not uncles

Today while doing some of my "Spring" cleaning in the yard, I was clearing away underbrush and pulled up an old stump only to discover a huge colony of ants... I suppose they are carpenter ants, they were huge both red and black. I looked it up and discovered that not all carpentere ants are just black but they can be various shades and even red and black. I was hoping that it might be still early and that ants werren't active yet but I think here in the sunny south...it doesn't take much for them to wake back up. I guess I will have to be checking in with my bugman to see what perhaps I will need to be doing. I definitely do not want them heading toward the house. Carpenter needed but perhaps an uncle not an ant...lol

Spring is here...

Well today was the first day of spring and I had to work through it, Really didn't get to enjoy it at all. I should have realized spring was here due to the possum babies last week...seems spring is the time for babies in nature. Kind of glad those days are over for me...knock on wood... If we need to have any to play with...we have plenty of friends with yung'uns so Amy can get her "fix" Well hope to enjoy the weekend some...probably will do some "Spring" cleaning...lol

possum possum who's got the ...

I remember growing up in the south and seeing this plate on trucks...thought it was pretty funny too. Then I met a fellow I worked with whose girlfriend sort of had a pointy face and I found out some folks called her possum. Sort of gave new meaning to the plate that was on the front of his truck...lol... but seriously last night my dogs got one... I managed to save her and three of her babies, but when I tried to give her back her babies...she killed it. This struck me as a tragedy and so she didn't get her other two...( one was still in her pouch...so I believe it will be OK...) Now we have a predicament...who do you call at 3 o'clock in the morning because you have two little blind pink barely furry possum babies ( or Joeys as I found out they are called ) It sure is amazing what you can find on the internet nowadays... after finding what I needed for immediate care I then found a wildlife rehabilitator that specialized in small mammals... so now " Meinie and Moe" have a new home with someone who knows how to care for them... I will say on the cuteness scale...baby oppossums are much cuter than mice or squirrels and their little prehesile tail and their little opposable thumbs are really neat too. I hope to be checking back up on them in the future...

Fur low low low

Yesterday, I posted a picture of a die...(dice is plural) to emphasize that sometimes life is just that...random, a roll of dice or whatever. You do have some control sometimes and should always strive to make life what you can. but the word for the day has its roots in the Dutch or old German... Furlough ( http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/furlough http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Furlough http://www.thefreedictionary.com/furlough look even the sports industry has been hit... http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/06/sports/football/06jets.html?ref=sports ) Other industry http://www.wtoctv.com/global/story.asp?s=9954732 http://www.wsav.com/sav/news/local/article/gulfstream_to_furlough_1500_workers_in_savannah_may_lay_off_others/10152/ so to top it off http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/01/weekinreview/01dewan.html
