cut, cut,cut,snip.snip

Well, today...rather yesterday was the first real good day we have had in a while and my grass decided to grow two feet. sooo, I guess I had to do something about it...get the mower out and mow, mow , mow. Looks a lot better now, although I can see I still need to seed some bare patches. My little grove out front needs a bit more of the underbush mulched out but I will get to that when I get more gas. ( ran out yesterday) Today, though, I take a break. Listen, I think I hear the Huddle House calling my name.... Tom .....Tom ... :)
ps: AI know this is an old photo...LOL

ooohh, Sleestacks

Wow, I guess since the new Will Farrell version of the "Land of the Lost" is coming out, there is going to be mania...The SCI FI channel just had their all day marathon of old episodes of the show. My daughter filled up my DVR with em. Still it was fun. I remember watching them on Saturday mornings. Now you look at the old episodes and go ...how hokey is that. Still all in all it was a money maker for the network and it was low budget. The only thing missing was cameo appearances by Kukla Fran and Ollie. Have fun with this one. Here is a link to watch some other old Scifi stuff... http://www.scifi.com/drivein/

5-8-1938 --- 12-12-2000 MCMHF

Today she would have been 71 years young... I miss her. I was just thinking how, if she were alive today she would have a ton of friends emailing from Germany and she would probably have learned to use Facebook too. The world has gotten a whole lot smaller and time has passed so quickly. Doesn't seem like nine years have passed. Love ya mom.

5 - 7 ...mix

Today is 5 - 7 another way we might say it is Heinz 57 such as I don't know how many different kinds of dog is in there... I guess that comes from the sauce but I know it is used more often when referring to breeds of dog..."What kind is it?" " I don't know , probably a heinz 57" One of my best dogs was a "57" She was named Nipper after the RCA dog who heard his master's voice. I chose it for her brown ear. Well she has passed over the rainbow bridge to a happier place but I was thinking of her today. This is one of my favorite pic's of her. Hope you like it.

Scrubs is Scrubbed

Well today the 6th of May 2009 is the finale episode for the sitcom Scrubs. I have watched a few shows but my daughters and wife think it is hilarious. I would rather watch ER for my medical show or St. Elsewhere for the comic relief in medical shows but I think House has its moments too. So farewell to Scrubs ... I don't believe any of the lead actors has signed on for any continued episodes...so if by any quirk the networks decide to try and renew...well I guess they will have to negotiate or we will see so,e new folks in scrubs trying to make you laugh. On another line...I do like to wear scrubs...they are quite comfortable. Well until the next great event... oh but if you want to watch old episodes of Scrubs, you can always check em out on fancast http://www.fancast.com/tv/Scrubs/91744/full-episodes

2 May -- Happy 76 to Nessie

On a positve note...76 years ago today, the first sightings of the Loch Ness monster were made. Pictures and theories abound and I am not about to try and debunk this big mystery. I think if they want to have a monster living in their lake over in Scotland, then by all means. After all it is a great tourist draw. Personally I have never been to Scotland, perhaps oneday I might have the chance. I think I should like to see the Scottish highlands and Lochs and even "old" Nessie...she ought to be getting pretty gray by now, so I don't know if she'll make it to the time I eventually make it over there. Anyway, I thought that would make today a special day. For a short video on the subject, see this sight... http://www.thehistorychannel.co.uk/site/this_day_in_history/this_day_May_2.php

by the way the picture is found at the celtic attic shop http://www.celticattic.com/

Enjoy your day. :)

It is MAYDAY

MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY...that is what a pilot says when he is in distress, what does a country or world say? Seems we have a lot of distressing news, such as the newest flu whether you call it swine flu or H1N1 or R2D2. It seems to be distressing a lot of folks. Seems though they have yet to actually find a pig that has it. The economy as well, especially if you work for Chrysler. I have had several Dodges and liked them, I would hate to see the company go away, but I am not sure how a DodgeFiat will look. I hope this whole month isn't going to be full of distressing stuff...
