Hat o Day 2

Today...I dig out an old hat from American Roller http://www.americanroller.com/ one of our rubber roll vendors from my days in the corrugated and paper packaging industry. I miss some of the aspects of my job then but not the work hours...LOL ...this hat has seen a little bit of use. I collect hats, but it is very rare that I don't actually wear them. Very very few of my hats are mint. I like to wear them...so until tomorrow...have a happy hat day...

hat of the day...

I have a lot of hats...a lot... so I have decided to look through them and see if I can remember when or where I got them... some are more special to me than others...

Here is one I got from a vendor actually we used them for quite a bit of our LTL...less than a trailer load... pretty good folks... I wonder if they are doing well during these trying economic times... I guess I will attach a link to their sites when applicable... http://www.con-way.com/en/ http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/df_cwx.htm http://www.ccx.com/

I would have gotten this hat around the late 90's...as you can see it has gotten a good bit of use..

Keeping busy...

This particular tool has been keeping me pretty busy lately...pretty good exercise too...I know an auger would be a whole lot quicker, but I like the personal touch you get by using old fashioned post hole diggers. Also an advantage of using this is that should you encounter something such as a pipe or such... you have a chance to avoid damaging it versus drilling through with an auger...oops...It could be disaster. Always find out if you have anything under your yard or garden before digging. Many communities now have much of their infrastructure such as cables and gas lines, water lines, sewer, etc...under ground and many times they don't run in what you might think is a common sense manner. I have yet to figure out their madness but I am sure there is a method to it. Anyhoo...my dogs will soon have a big playpen to call theirs...and it should keep them from visiting my neighbors inadvertently. :)
